Graduate Spotlight: Christopher Sauceda
May 9, 2025
Christopher Sauceda is graduating with an Associate of Arts, pre-majoring in Psychology. Inspired by his experiences as a single father to an autistic son, he is committed to advocating for neurodiverse individuals, especially in higher education. His goal is to pursue a PhD in neuropsychology to help break down the barriers that hinder neurodiverse individuals from succeeding.
Christopher initially enrolled at SPC for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program but soon shifted to psychology, driven by his desire to understand the brain and help those facing unique challenges. His achievements include being named a Presidential Scholar, Coalition for Regenerative Ecological Agriculture (CREA) Fellow with Mexican American Studies, Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership (ICDP) Fellow with Harvard University, and a Hispanic Serving Institute American Heart Association Scholar.
After graduation, Christopher plans to transfer to UTSA to continue his studies and eventually open nonprofits offering free services for neurodiverse children.
Christopher will serve as the Student Commencement Speaker at St. Philip’s College’s 52nd Commencement Ceremony. Congratulations Christopher!
